Chief Custodian, Mr. Mickey Mullins. Without the help of our service person¬ nel, our school would surely be aban¬ doned. But we are blessed with people who care how the school and its sur¬ roundings look. Not only do they put in a days work, but they also clean up after school socials, ballgames, parties, Mr. James Boyd Mr. Leroy Yates, Custo¬ dians. Mrs. Kathy Harrison, Cafeteria Secretary. Head of Cooking Staff, Mrs. Pat Smith. and dances. We also appreciate our ex¬ cellent cooking staff who provide nu¬ tritious, hot meals each day we are at school. This is a group of neat, well- trained ladies who, like the rest of the service personnel, take an interest in all of us. 7th GRADE TEACHERS 7th G1 Mrs. Margaret Campbell Turner has a B.S. degree from Radford College. She teaches 7th grade science, math, spelling, and health. Mrs. Turner is the sponsor of the 7th grade 4-H. She enjoys reading, sewing, cooking, and crocheting. Regretting the loss of her position as English, German, and Journalism teacher, Mrs. Kathleen Slusher came back to teach the 7th grade at Haysi High. She received a B.A. degree from Berea College; her favorite pasttime is reading. Mrs. Slusher’s special interest is her daughter, Michele. Our new 7th grade teacher is Mr. Gary R. Tackett. He is a sponsor of the AMPC Photography Club and has been of much help to the Annual Staff with photography. Mr. Tackett has a B.S. degree from Pikeville College and a M.A. degree from Morchead State University. Mrs. Argielean Saylor attended Clinch Valley College. She has a B.A. degree and teaches 7th grade reading, cnglish, social studies, spelling, and health. Mrs. Saylor is a 7th grade 4-11 Club sponsor, and she enjoys reading, camp¬ ing, and traveling. 23
