Prophecq After ten years of teaching I finally decided to fulfill my life long desire to go around the world. I was only allowed two weeks, as I was teaching during the summer also, I decided to call on Gene Venhaus, who was now flying space ships. to take Just and saw cinated He said that after escaping from so many accidents, that he had decided up a safe occupation, and this was it. as we were getting ready to leave Hayes Center we heard a lot of music a circus parade coming down the street. Since a circus had always fas- me I wanted to go to this one before we left. As we were entering the circus we heard a barker telling about his feature act. You can imagine our sur- prise when we recognized the barker as Larry Hamilton. His feature act was Mamie De Vall, the fan dancer, whose real name was Marjorie Ring. Inside the tent we noticed that everyone was intently watching the trapeze acts. Looking up we saw the thrilling performance of Donald Paulson, the tight rope walker. Donald told us Mary Ann Richards still lived in Hayes Center. She has be- come a highly successful writer. Her latest book, HHow to Plan a wedding in Eight Hoursn, is listed as one of the top books of the year. It was now time to leave on our trip. along the street we met Joe Nitsch. He manship, in his high school days he had his best field for selling was ladies' 1! Bulge No Moren girdles known the world Not long after we met Bonnie LaShell Our first stop was Chicago. Walking said that after his experience of sales- decided to become a salesman. He found girdles. He has made the trade name of over. She informed us that she had just re- turned from a trip around the world. She had been demonstrating the fine art of bubble gu blowing. She said it had been her favorite past time in high school. She has broken all records for bubble blowing. Next we landed at New York. At the Waldorf Astoria we ran into Donnie Cur- ran, who is now a salesman for playground equipment. He also instructs in Jun- ior high school. As you recall he always was interested in girls of that age, That evening we attended a dance in the beautiful blue and gold ball room. The featured dancer of the evening was Dean Mintllng. He told us that he was a dancing instructor. He has named his latest dance Mintling's Musical Minuet. It has really taken New York by storm. From New York we went to Washington, D. C, While touring the white House we met Estaline Johnson. She said after leaving high school she became interested in politics. She is now a famous orator and is in much demand as a public speaker She and nMamien are close friends. Having heard so much about the Indianapolis speedway we decided to stop for a short time and watch a few races. There we was a green Chevie No. 13 win every race. We were curious to know who the driver was and were we surprised to see Marvin Evans. He says he believes he has the fastest thing on four wheels. Our next stop was Miami, Florida. Walking along the beach we noticed a huge fence and on it the sign, nEthylee's Alligatorsu, best in the South. We wondered if it were the Ethylee we knew andsure enough it was.w5a3ked ner why she started an alligator farm and here was her story. She said that she had started taking nursing training but due to personal difficulties she quit. Next she took up singing but the only contracts she could get was to sing hill billy songs so she gave that up. As we remember Ethylee always had a great love for animals, es- pecially the ones the least cared for. while on vacation in Florida she decided to take up her childhood desire and care for animals. As alligators are the least cared for, you can guess the rest. She said her farm is doing very well. She has 29 favorites and each one is named after a member of the senior class of l95h. Further on down the beach we saw a large crowd gathered around a race track. Stopping to see what was going on we saw Berdine Carr giving an exhibition of her motor cycle riding ability. From what we hear she is one of the greatest dare devils in the United States.
