The games this year were ended in disappointment, but the memories still go on in Hayden High School. Lower right David and LeDawn wait patiently 10 The theme for the 1988 Prom was A Touch Of Class. The colors were red, black, and white. The Juniors worked hard Prom a success. The King and Queen were crowned by Tyson and Tanisha Grahn. The attire was mostly black and white. Most of fhe guys wore white tuxedoes. There was a lot of good food and good music. Art is fun because you get to know the students on a different level than the regular classroom and you get to see the students creative side. Art is a class where students can excel whether they may or may not be academically strong. says Kim Mader. art teacher. 18 The woods class gives students a chance to learn woodworking and how to use the equipment. The stu- dents get a chance to show creativity in the projects they build. Woods 19 P.E. CLASS TO STAY FIT P.E. helps you pro- vide a better and more fit body. It helps your good health and concentration. Phys- ical Education under Sally Morton. Burson Koppenhafer, Kim Mader, and Ron Linsa- cum, they all make sure you have a more fit body. Weight lifting class helps endurance, muscle tone and cour- age. Casey Rolando smiles pretty while Toby shows his strength Mr Portelance shows class how to use their muscles. The class helps stu- dents that are not receptive to conventional education models. Svoboda has the same class ma- terial as regular academic classes. John Svoboda working on his computer David. She teaches classes such as typing, accounting, and busi- ness simulations. Mrs. Lombardi is sponsor of very active FBLA. Math Computer MATH COMPUTERS: THE LANGUAGE OF THE UNIVERSE. The math computer courses are taught by Mike Portelance and Val Gary. They teach classes from Algebra Vi to Calculus. At the beginning of the season they had skills tests to de- termine who would be on the varsity team. It was hard getting used to new coaches and new ideas, but as the season progressed both teams showed improvement. By the end of the season the players were working well together. Good job girls!!!! The support and enthusiasm of parents, cheerleaders, and students en- couraged the team through both wins and losses. Junior, received all League, for her skills 47 Basketball Below-Louis Wyman blocks a pass The basketball team played a very good season with 15 wins and only 5 losses. The wrestling team did well this year, with five people going to state. At state Dallas Robinson and Shane Camilletti were state champions. Good Job Guys!!!! The Fall Sports Cheerleaders kept very busy making locker posters. The Basketball Cheerleaders kept busy making posters for the gym and trying to get them to stay up. The Wrestling Cheer- leaders were busy preparing for Districts. Mrs. Ruff Kept the Cheerleaders in shape by doing aerobics as often as possible. I, Tami Eskridge, will my easy class load to Lisa Williamson so she won't be stressed out over Trig, and all the other hard classes she takes. I, Chet Kelly, will my motorcycling ability to my brother so he can style like the pro's someday. I, Eddie Connelly, will my protection to Shane Camilletti in hopes he'll use it. I, Bobby Phillips, will my BIG thumb to everyone that walks to school. I, Rona Sue, will my ability of skipping school to Sherene in hopes she'll never get caught. I, Steve Smith, will my ability to look 21 to all those who missed the drinking age in hopes that they will never be sober again.
