Dedication The 1976 Hayden Annual is dedicated to all the students who have graduated from Hayden High School. We of the annual staff point with admiration to our past and the first graduat- ing class of 1909, and to all those graduating classes down through the years. We look with pride at our present and the 1976 senior class. We look with anticipation at those classes which will be coming in the future. Our alumni have added not only to the Hayden community but also to all communities in which they have chosen to live. We hope that Hayden High School has given each and every one the background in educa- tion that enabled them to become successful in the field of their choice and the inspiration to accept ideas and concepts to pursue what ever vocation and avocation desired. It is our sincere hope that all of our alumni, our present graduating class, and all future classes can say with pride that they were a graduate of Hayden High School. The Grandbouches The Hocketts Chuck Signs Pictured above are just a few of Hayden’s former graduates. These alumni and many others have a vital interest in the Hayden schools.

The 1975-76 TIGER Honors the Past — Challenges the Future TABLE OF CONTENTS In this year when our nation is celebrat- ing its 200th year and our state is celebrat- ing its 100th year, we in Hayden High School are celebrating our 70th year. We honor our past and the first graduating class of 1909 - Gladys Blake Hofstetter, Ethel Wood Monson, Marabelle Shelton Enochs, and Wolcott Hooker - and all those gradu- ating classes down through the years. Classes whose graduates have excelled in all the professions and fields of business. There are doctors, engineers, nurses, edu- cators, lawyers, successful business men and women. We look with pride at our present and the 1976 graduating senior class. We challenge those classes who will come in the future. Let’s take pride in our past; take part in our future. Superintendent's Message to the Class of 1976 Dr. Gary Toothaker, Superintendent 0 SfT' fW MJVjS JV Ouvv$d Oo' - % M ySc V roI It seems richly appropriate to blend the past, present, and future into a theme for the Class of 1976 this Bicentennial year. As our country observes this milestone in our history, you might take time to reflect upon how the basis for this cele- bration is related to you. The unique elements of our country’s past are a part of you. After all, you rep- resent what is left of the Golden West. The independence, self-reliance, and the spirit of adventure are qualities that built the West; qualities which are part of your heritage. The present age represents a revival of reawakening and renewal goal-setting. These social processes are taking place with an emphasis upon the importance of successful traditions of the past. Change and difference are two things that can be said about the future. The challenge is determining WHAT should be changed and what should be different. That challenge is your, as is the future. May your choices be based upon wisdom and compassion. - Dr. Gary Toothaker Pf. Toothaker’s office is always open to those who need to see him. He feels that contact with students, teachers, parents, and members of the community i£ vital to having the best school possible. 3
