Mrs. Ayliffe Zehner From the Class of 1 973 Ayliffe Zehner is a native of Hayden, Colorado who has spent most of her adult life in working in one way or another in this community. Mrs. Zehner is a graduate of Pomona College, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. In furthering her education she attended the University of Denver, the University of Wyoming, the Uni- versity of Colorado, the University of Utah and others where she studied Library Sciences and Social Studies, which she has used in helping young people of Hayden in educating themselves to become bet- ter prepared citizens. Mrs. Ayliffe Zehner has a colorful teaching career. She taught for four years after graduating from college at Union High School in the areas of Social Studies. Then gave up the profession for a short period of time when she focused her attention toward the domestic side of things. During this per- iod she also taught second grade for three years. Finally in 1963 Ayliffe came back to Union High School as Head Librarian and took on that responsibility. As head librarian Mrs. Zehner has given her time and energy to help the students, teachers, and others. She has been a good advisor, a good developer, a good friend, and for all the praise and love we owe her we thank her for all the help she has given to us. This annual is just a small way of saying Thank-you for all the times you have helped us. 2
