Class Prophecy The year is 1982. Mr. Reagan and Mrs. Morgan decide to check up on the class and see what trouble they are in now. Due to pollution and war most of our class has moved to the moon, so they will visit the ones on earth first. They put on gas masks and with guns in their hands they advance cautiously. Through the smog they see Patty as a guidance counselor talking to Dave Wright. He tells us that he has just sold his formula for an after-shave that will kill the odor of smog and attract girls by the dozen. Mrs. Morgan sees a crowd of girls heading for Dave and, although Mr. Reagan wants to delay a few minutes, hurries on. In Milner they find George, Pat, and Gale collecting beer cans to sell for recycling. As they are working hard at emptying more beer cans, they cannot talk long, and our one-time sponsors catch a plane. The pilot turns out to be Janet who has married a millionaire and bought TWA. She says that she is kept busy making flights to the moon and mixing drinks (for the passengers, of course). As we land in Alaska we are met by Frank who spends his time manufacturing flashing fluorescent lights and racing ski-doos with the enemies. He directs us to John who is running a co-ed wrestling camp for the Eskimos. He has already sent two boys and one girl to State. They catch another plane, piloted by Janet's husband, and travel to Arabia where they find Randy and his five wives. He is very busy with his 7 daughters and 2 sons and does not even try to speak to them over the noise of his home. They manage to escape from his harem (again Mrs. Morgan has to pull Mr. Reagan away) and take a boat to Mexico. There they find Georgia working in a school for the deaf. After meeting her husband they continue to Brazil where Martin and Dave are building fences. As they are busy chasing peasants with their red-pickup, Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Reagan cannot catch them to talk to them. So they return to the coast and catch a flight to the moon. They are surprised to find Lorie and Peggy as their hostesses. Both spend their spare time changing diapers and sobering up their husbands. At last they reach the moon and the first person they see as they step down is Dean. He is an aeronautics officer and teaches his work to girls, to which he doesn't object. They hurry on and stop to rest in a church. Imagine their surprise when the priest turns out to be Mike. He tells them the sad story of how he wore one of his see-through shirts one day and had to resort to priesthood to rid himself of the girls that followed him around. They leave Mike to his problems and go visit the school. There they find Nancy teaching literature and Debbie teaching speech. Mrs. Morgan, however, refuses to repeat what kind of literature and speech they are teaching their students. In the office they find Judy as secretary. Although she can type 140 words a minute, she still finds herself being rushed (mostly by the male teachers). They travel toward the darker side of the moon and find Sharon as a nurse to cratered children. She is doing well at her job and especially at flirting with the doctors, so they leave her to her duties. 19
