At Hay- den High these young men realize that the strength and fitness they are building today will take them through the rest of their lives. They do not wait for nature to make them larger, better, and stronger, but through the use of proper weight training, push themselves to be well above the average person who waits on nature and maturation to make them physically fit. I, Jane Andrews, will my ability to make friends to anyone who can get along with some of them afterwards. I, Joyce Bohannon, would will my hair, but Tim likes it, and I need it. I, Joe Beck, will my ability to play football center to David Ragan, on the condition that he goes out for football next year. I, Charlene Ciani, will my late hours to anyone who thinks they can make it to school the next morning. I, Glen Drake, will my ability to get along with the girls to anyone who has enough time for that sort of thing. I, Russell Dunckley, will my position as editor to anyone who is crazy enough to think they can get the annual out on time next year. I, Clara Evans, will my ability to play the piano to anyone who's willing to take the time to practice. I, Barbara Gilland, will my short-cut down the cog to anyone who has the nerve to take it. I, Weldon Hinkle, will my new car to anyone who can keep it running. I, Jay Howard, will my weight lifting set to anyone who can walk off with it. I, Jenny Jeffcoat, will my calorie counter to anyone who promises to use it with perseverance. I, Wilfred LeBlanc, will my ability in chemistry to anyone who can keep the explosions down a little. I, Phyllis Moore, will my little old diamond to anyone who thinks they can get it away from me. I, Vern Morton, will my quiet ways to Bill Yoast, in the hopes that he doesn't abuse them. I, Virginia Santistevan, will my height to Coach McLaurin in the hopes that he can use it to advantage in basketball. I, Jim Scott, will my ability to play basketball to anyone who can give Mr. Harris as much trouble next year as I did the last four years. I, Dovie Watts Beck, do not will anything to anyone because I'd be lost with- out everything I have. I, Sandra Yoast, will my talking ability to anyone who promises not to under- use it. I, Marsha Zabel White, will Phyllis Moore my cooking ability so we can both keep our husbands happy.. Class Prophecy Here it is the year 1976. Out for a quiet day of fishing on the Yampa River, John Reagan, retired commercial teacher, gazes into the water and becomes lost in thought. Suddenly the reflection in the water is no longer his own but that of the Seniors of 1966. As he looks a little closer, he sees Barbara, now residing in the blue grass state. She has completed her foreign service training and is now making plans for her on-com- ing wedding. Next he is taken back to beautiful Colorado where Virginia is a beauty operator and draws and paints pictures in her spare time. She is married and has a son and daughter. Satisfied that Virginia is happy, he is taken to Arizona, where he finds Vern the owner of a large I. B. M. plant and living on a small ranch with his wife Mitzi and their three little wrestlers. A fish swims by, when the ripples disappear, Mr. Reagan finds that he is in Sweden. Here he visits Glen, still a bachelor, working at one of Sweden's largest air- ports. Knowing that Glen is a success, he travels to Paris, France, where he finds Jay Howard making his own motion picture Life on the Ocean Blue. After having served in the navy, he had gone into show business and now lives in Paris with his wife Sylvia and their seven girls. Back to the states he goes again to Los Angeles. There he sees Sandra decked out in her white uniform. She is in the process of moving from her pres- ent office to the office of head x-ray technician in Dr. Kildare's Blair General. San- dra tells him that Russell also lives in California, so he soon finds him at his office in the heart of San Francisco. Russell, one of the leading psychiatrists, is a complete success living in a plush home with his wife and large family. The scene changes, and he is taken to Atlantic City where Jenny Aber, former Jenny Jeffcoat, is a physical education teacher for all the candidates in the Miss Amer- ica Contest. Touring a marine base, he listens carefully and to his ears comes the gruff voice of Joe Beck as he shouts orders to a group of lieutenants. Joe, a five star general, leads a very exciting life which he shares with his wife Donna and their two sons. Off he goes to the far-away jungles of Africa where he sees Weldon out on a safari. Weldon has made a successful career of photographing animals. His films are being used in motion pictures. Next, he finds Wilfred on the beach of Waikiki sun bathing. Wilfred is a rich bachelor and has model race cars. He also drives in some of the races. As the scene shifts a little, Marsha White comes into view, sitting at her secretar- ial desk in the White House. She is very happy and loves her work. Marsh tells him that she is a personal friend of the President. He is now taken to New York where Clara Evans is a famous opera star. She writes her own lyrics and music and her newest aria is entitled You'll Get Over It. The scene quickly changes, and he is taken to Florida. Here he finds Joyce Ber- tram, the former Miss Bohannon, living with Tim and their three children. Joyce has a chain of beauty salons and is known for her hair-dos. Suddenly, he is back in Ken- tucky where he finds Jim as assistant head pipe fitter and is planning on marriage soon. Satisfied that Jim is doing well, he travels next to Indiana where he sees Jane working as secretary to the governor. She also tells him that she plans to marry her boss soon. Again he is taken swiftly to Hawaii where he sees Charlene, cruising along in her yacht on the Pacific Ocean. After completing three years in the navy, Charlene has married a professional serviceman and now has four sons. Once again he returns to Colorado to find Dovie Beck and Oscar happily married and operating the El Rancho Cafe. As the final scene of the class of 1966 begins to appear he sees Phyllis living in her large ranch home near Steamboat. She is busy feeding her three little Klines and cleaning her house. As we leave, Phyl is tossing the last batch of dirty clothes of the day down the clothes shute. As the boat rocks a little, Mr. Reagan is jerked back to reality by the tug of a four pound trout on his line. He reviews the events he had come across today, he sees that the class of 1966 are not only happy in their lives, but also successful. He knows that he has contributed a part to their success and now can go on with his quiet day of fishing. ,, ya .a: y aJca- 71 7 JUNIOR 5 7 7e -c c ?
