Dedication Mr. Murphy came from Grand Valley, where he lived as a boy He always knew, for him, teaching would be a real joy. In nineteen fifty four he came to teach in our school, And with kindness taught us to abide by this rule. And was wise to have said, improve yesterday’s best The world is a challenge, we must meet the test As superintendent his problems are sometimes the kind, That may be upsetting, and weary the mind. But he deals with our discipline in such a way - We respect the wisdom, of the things he may say. An understanding counselor when we go to his room; And no longer do our troubles seem tinged with gloom. School may be laughter and sunshine, and sometimes despair Those years its been nice to have Mr. Murphy there. With many memories of school days: we’ll like to recall Our superintendent in his office at the end of the hall. 'i'
