'Dedication We wish to express by this small gesture our appreciation for her untiring efforts in our behalf. So to you, Mrs. Pierson, who has given yourself in service to youth, and to our school, we dedicate our yearbook. We will fondly treasure memories of you--our friend and consellor. MARIO J. ONGARO Principal It has been a real honor to work with the Union High School students and fac- ulty for another school year. To the members of the class of 19f 3 I extend a hearty wish for continual success in life. The final goal in life can be achieved only by reaching and surmount- ing those intermediate goals which are before the final. This is a time for greatness—great decisions, great hopes and great thoughts. It is a time for the young Americans to plan their future with care and to look ahead to the years to come. Be honest, sincere, and truthful in all dealings with your fellow man. May you be blessed with the best of luck in the future and find that true happiness in life. Year after year advancement takes place in our high school. Again this year our Seniors leave Hayden Union High School, the Juniors step to Seniors, the Sopho- mores advance to Juniors, and the Fresh- men advance to Sophomores. It is my most humble expectation that our students have grown educationally and socially along with their yearly advancements. All the students can be proud of the outstanding achievements they have conferred on their popular high school. Balking was at a minimum when asked to participate in any activity to better the name of Hayden Union High School. To the Seniors, my wish is tnat your experiences in Hayden Union High School have been happy and profitable. I know mine have been extremely happy and edu- cationally profitable working with you. May your memories of your school and your teachers be pleasant ones.
