,4- .fi meeting a faculty fashion show was presented with the well-known models Mr. Chauncey and Mr. Capelouto showing the latest in ballerina costumes. ,--'-H ' 5-s 11 -T K .Spring came and with it came traclitxseason. Mr. Barton won the honors of coaching the trackmen. The squad practiced each day in the area now occupied by build- ings T7, l9, 20, 215522. Spring brought something else to many Cougars and that was the ideaiof beautifying the campus. All classes were dispensed lwith for a work day under the direction of Mr. Elmore. Trees and shrubs were planted, bencihes made, and coatslof paint applied where needed. It was on this day that Senior Square was founded. Leadingithe senior class to its goal was Mr. Goodfellow. The end of the day finally came and Mr. Elmore came into tthe picture with his saxophone in hand to provide a little entertainment. , l . Y While money is talways a problem, it was especially evident by its nonexistence in a scholarship fund. The District Teachers' Association gave a ,variety show which was highlighted by the piano artistry of Mr. Garza, to raise funds for this mluch-appreciated cause. T L H ' f X u 1 .'
