Of eight students participating in league com- petition. two walked away with honors March 21 at Glen Flora. Andy Dempsey shook the rafters with his humorous declamation The Big Game , while Marlys Hvass displayed exceptional dramatic technique in stilling the audience with The Old Woman and the Clock , a serious declamation. ' 'At The Swimming Pool At this writing, the Hurley Meet has not yet been decided, but we feel sure that Hawkins will give a good account of itself there. Our thanks to all the students who represented the school. This is an. activity in which one can gain even if one loses.
