Andy Dempsey shook the rafters with his humorous declamation The Big Game , while Marlys Hvass displayed exceptional dramatic technique in stilling the audience with The Old Woman and the Clock , a serious declamation. Junior Class Play On Novem-ber 10, the junior Class of '49 presented their class play entitled Take It Easy. The cast consisted of ten players who were as follows: Mrs. Amanda Highgate, a very forgetful, eccentric type who wanted to keep up with the joneses ................ Marlene Zastrow Nancy Highgate, Mrs. Higl-igate's attractive daughter, quite i the opposite of her mother ............................................ Lois Zastrow Tom Laurence, an artist of the modern type, very much in love with Nancy .................................................................. Roger Hammer Lon Torence, a house painter, rather slow-witted and always hungry .................................................................. Andy Dempsey john Florenz, an unknown quantity ............................ Nelmar Viken Florence, the maid, tending to be coquettish and the victim of a queer malady, Pocketitis ............,..................... Donabelle Moss Philip, the butler, who seems rather bewildered by the hair-brained mistress for whom he works ........................................ Don Plaza Mary, the cook, very brusque, outspoken, and extremely quick- tempered .,.,.....,,....,............................ Jenny Winter, a Sophomore Arthur, the yard boy, mischevious, and continually irritating Mary Mickey Haugsby Beagle jones, the detective, whose furtive action do not carry out his loud boasts .............. ....................... ............ ......... F r a nk Sisko The play was a great success, and the whole cast enjoyed playing their parts. They were rewarded by many nice comments.
