L. Thorndike is a familiar signature to each and every senior at I-I.H.S. It appears on admit slips on work notices on requests for make-up work and less frequently, on detention slips. However the signature represents more than the administrative stamp of the Dean of Girls. It is representative of an understanding counsellor who makes students feel at ease on any occasion of a sisit to her office. Miss Thorndike offers us vocational guid- ance. information on schools and colleges, and job possibilities. She listens carefully to us and offers solutions to our impossible problems, and she attends many of our extra curricular ac- tivities. Along with these advisory duties, Miss Thorndike serves as head of the modern lan- guage department.
