On the playing fields, in the classroom and in his home, he works twenty-four hours of every day helping those of us who have need of his knowledge and experience in solving our problems-both from our text hoolzs and in our lives. At our impressionable age we seek the ideals upon which to pattern our lives. Sometimes we do not immediately recognize those ideals, as it is only through long and close asso- ciation that they are reflected in the strength of a persons character. We the class of 1961, dedicate this book to a man who has refreshed our minds with superior teaching and our souls with his warm philosophies of life. A competent coach, a patient instructor and a deeply interested and sympathetic mentor- This is James E. Stonier. 7
