Juniors Pla Leading and Supporting Roles The Co-Stars of the 1976-77 year were the juniors who were always ready to show their class spirit. On 50's Day they had the most people dressed in those roaring 50's styles. During Spirit Week juniors could be seen in their spirit-raising outfits. For instance one of the ju- nior boys won a pineapple for the most original costume on Islander Day. A couple of others won the best dressed on Teachers Appre- ciation Day. Still others participated in the H.H.S. sports programs. Not only did the guys get involved but the gals did their fair share, also. The gals were Tigerettes, Mat Maids and locker pals. Girls sports activities were also a concern of many girls. It was a relief to become a juniorg you were no longer a sophomore fresh from the crib but also you wer- en't an almighty senior ready to be abandoned out in the cold, cruel world. Time was theirs and they used it well. They took the initiative, no longer imitating the ways of their upperclassmen but instead chosing their own way. The next 13 pages are dedicated to that junior class of '77. I Living up to Mark Twain's philosophy on education, the motto of these juniors seems to be: I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. Dave Sypherd braveg the hallg without 3 pass. No, this is not a chorusline from some Las Vegas showroom, but only a group of those talented junior girls struttin' their stuff.

The l977 Senior Class Shows Senior Classy Reichert makes new discovery - the bas- ketball! Senior Class - that's what this years seniors showed throughout the year, not only in their conduct, but in their sportsmanship, citizenship, and all-around friendship to every- one. Sure, there were some bad times and some times when living up to all those qualities wasn't very easy but on the whole this year was made better, not worse, by their con- tributions. Being a senior holds a lot of dif- ferent emotions for a lot of people. In trying to sum up their senior year in a few words the seniors said, power, Happy and sad, a lot of growing upf' Searcy, one big party, enjoyable, and memo- ries. All of them are appropriate but the memories are what we'll have forever, tucked away in a spe- cial spot in our hearts. -.W Julie McCready goes ape over Curt Clowe in the halls. By the looks on the faces of these girls, whatever the latest news is must be unbelievable. Seniors on the bridge plot their next skip day. if ff. 'X A Y rf ff av-
