The burning of the Junior Class bonfire touched off the annual Harvey High Homecoming ceremon- ies on October 6, 1961. Follow- ing the bonfire everyone return- ed to the school for the coron- ation of the Queen. The candi- dates were Mary Lou LeDuc, Sharon Gludt, and Carol Deck. Football captains, Jerry Olson, Pete Boyum, and Bob Anderson had the honor of escorting the lovely candidates to the stage for the crowning. The new Queen for 1961 was Carol Deck. Queen Carol had the honor of presiding over the Homecoming game and dance on October 7, 1961.
