John stands 6' li , and s a speedy and a fine defens- ive man. Joh has 329 tot- al points. Ken Block, a junior, has played 3 years of basket- ball. Ken is a fine jump shooter, and a fine re- bourder. Ken has scored 168 points this year. COACH PETERSON LESTER E. KENNETH B. Joe Kovar, a senior, has played 4 years of high school basketball. Joe plays guard, and is a fast defensive man. Joe has 132 total points this season. lister Erickson, a junior, plays guard. Lester is a good ball handler. Lester played on the B Squad last year. His total points this year are 63. Larry Johnson, a junior who stands 6' 5 , plays center. Larry played on the B Squad last year. His LARRY J. total points are 25 for the season. Glenn Schimke, a senior, is an excellent rebounder. Glenn plays guard and is in his first full year of bas- ketball. Glenn scored 286 total points this year. Arley Running, a junior, has played basketball for 3 years. His freshman and soph- more years were on the B Squad. This year Arley played forward on the A Squad. plays forward. With his DAVE K. good shooting ability he has 472 points this season. Oave Kastelein, the only sophomore, is an outstanding rebounder. Dave is a fine all around player. His tot- 22 al points are 356.

Richard Smcstad hits the dirt. Joe Kovar goes over for a final touchdown in the championship game. A smiling bunch of conference champs. CONFERENCE TITLE A week later the Hornets traveled to Velva for the fifth game of the season. Harvey scored four touchdowns the first half to Velva's one touchdown to leave the half time score 24-7. In the second half Harvey scored once more to make the final score 31-7. The Hornets outdowned Velva 12-7 and gained 327 yds. to Velva's 157. The final game away from home war against Carrington. Strong defense along with a strong naming attack helped Harvey win the game 32-7, Carrington scored their only touchdown with only one minute to play in the game. The highest scoring game of the season was played with Cooperstown. The starting team played only the first quarter in which they scored 3 times. The rest of the game was played by the second team and the fresh- men team. The game ended 52-6 in favor of Harvey. Winning this game put Harvey in first place with Minot Model. On October 26, Harvey played Minot Model for the CNDC title. All through the game the Hornets and Beaver Kits battled a hard hitting game. The tough defense of Harvey held the Kits to a total of 53 yds gained. The game ended with a 26-0 victory for Harvey. The winning of this game gave •Harvey an undefeated season and also the first win over Minot Model in football. Little gain for the Hornets 21 Hornets drive for good gain.
