athletic teams during the scholastic year 1956-57. The teams had a fine season in which they placed in almost every event. Only by hard work on the part of the coaches and players, all working for the same cause, and by co-operation from everyone, the boys, the coaches, and fans, was it possible for Harvey to receive these honored awards and keep them in their possession. Harvey is truly proud of their teams on and also off the courts. 19

Come on freshmen lets see you drive HDRNET5 The Hornets' 1956 gridiron season open- ed with a non-conference game with Botti- neau. The Hornets scored first in the first quarter, but Bottineau came back and scored twice before the half, leaving the half time score 12-7 for Bottineau. Harvey came out in the second half and scored 3 times before the end of the game, leaving the score 26-12 in favor of Harvey. The first home game of the season was played with St. James of New Rockford. The scoring was started by David Kastelein. Joe Kovar ran for the extra point. The other touchdowns were made by Gordon Hoffard and Royce Kovar,ending the game with a score of 21-0 CAPTURE The third game was Harvey's Homecoming game against Fessenden. This was a tough , hard-hitting and tackling game, due to strong defense. The only score came in the second quarter when Joe Kovar went 20 yds. through the line. The game ended 6-0. The Hornets played their fourth game at New Rockford. The first touchdown was made early in the game by Royce Kovar. Other scoring was done by Joe Kovar, Ken- neth Block,David Kastelein, and Jim Bienek, leaving a score of 40-0 in Harvey's favor.
