COACH HILD Fredy Hlld came to Hartley ln the fall of 1934 He took over leadershlp of all branches of H S athletlcs and served 1n that post untll a few weeks a o At present Mr Hlld 1S employed by the Kresge Company as a JUDIOT manager reported to Chlcago for duty and was transferred to a tranch store Thls advancement a flne break for Mr Hlld and all of hls Hartley frlends were glad to hear of lt although we dld not llke to have h1m leave us MT I rle A Romey of Slbley was hlred to fill out 'me rest of thls school year He takes over the Manual Arts Department and coachlng of sprlng athletlcs Mr Roney 1S a graduate of Iowa State Teacher's College at Cedar Falls H15 famlly wlll not move here for the few re malnxng weeks of school If weather permlts, plans for thls sprlng are to work w1th baseball and to schedule games wlth nelghborlng schools The Hawkeye Club w1ll be made up of several 9Xp6P19HCGd JUDIOP league players and an abundance of pTOm1SlDg rookies 000 ' I O L U I U . .
