Al Simmons, Bill Blanchard, Ralph Smith, Kathy Library Club Promotes Interest ln Literature Harrison's Library Club spent the first part of the year helping to organize the library at the new school. The members spent long hours working in the library helping their fellow students find and check out books. With the help of sponsor Mrs. Esther Lu Lasher, they filed the card catal- ogue and arranged books. A trip to the Air Force Academy Library was one of the first activities. Others in- cluded a skating party and a tour of the Museum of Natural History in Denver. Librarian Mrs. Esther Lu Lasher also served as the library club sponsor. Artists Enhance Halls With Original Works Student artists used the hall display case to show their paintings. STANDING. Ray Quinn, Dave Roberts. SEATED. Mrs. Mildred Bayless, Penny Watt, Amy Bowlin. Harrison's Art Club, from the start the goal was to give all the students the opportunity to develop their art potentials under the supervision of Mrs. Bayless, and give them a chance to broaden their cultural background. Science Club Stresses Experimentation The Science Club was formed in order to allow students with an interest in science to do work in addition to that done in the class- room. Advised by Mr. Rahne the members took part in extra activities including field trips and movies. Norm Winnings, Merle Clowe, Judy Kruger, Bob Gilmore, Tony Aragon.

Sports writers Darrell Murphy and Ken Graham X' choose the best basketball pictures for an upcoming edition. The newspaper staff was comprised of hard-working students from all four classes. Under the sponsorship and the guidance of Mrs. Pat Hearn, they strived to produce papers that were stimulating, entertaining and informative. For the first time the newspaper was printed rather than mimeographed, adding to its appeal. The fine cooperation between the staff and the journalism department, has been the main story of the Hi-Lites quality.
