Student enthusiasm for the Bowling Club played a big part in making the season a success. There were six teams with three people on a team. Throughout the year these teams worked hard for first place because the teams were so evenly matched. Spirit also ran high in the High School Match Team. This Team consisted of six members. The one who had low series one week would sit out the next week. The other schools participating were Wasson, Billy Mitchell, Palmer, and Wide- field. F. S. A. Members Participate ln Regional Organization SEATED. Kathy Vargo, Elizabeth Clark, Alana Boyles, sponsor Mrs. Rose Marie Ormanoski, Nancy Rivera. STANDING. Judy Brunson, Vicki de Herara, Alice Boudreau, Melanie Melancon, Karen Taylor, Carol Gibson. Girls with an interest in the secretarial field who have average grades are eligible to become members of the F.S.A. The Pikes Peak Chapter of Future Secre- taries' Association, of which Harrison is a member, met at Colorado College. Other schools included in the Chapter are Air Academy, Widetield, and Manitou. Harrison students Nancy Rivera and Ka- thy Vargo received the top honors, first and second place in the Miss F.S.A. contest, sponsored by the Regional chapter. F.S.A. sponsor, Mrs. Rose Ormanoski gives acl- vice on cutting a stencil to a student, Pat Flath- GFS.

Pre-Med Club Operates At HHS Ed Beedle, Della Manning, Ken Myers, Sue Buckman, Nick Bellis. Harrison's Pre-Med Club had an ac- tive and successful second year. Members achieved their goals of ex- ploring different fields of the medical profession. Activities included: Viewing films, tours of local hospitals, and lec- tures by guest speakers. Mr. Alfred Brophy sponsored this year club and Ed Beedle was the pres- ident. Sue Buckman served as secre- tary and treasurer. F.T.A. Explores Teaching Profession F.T.A. was a relatively new, inex- perienced organization, as most of the previous years members were seniors. Headed by Kathy Arnold, president, Anita Gomez, Vice-President: Vicky Calu, Secretary-Treasurer: and Mary Hyde, membership and publicity chairman, the club presented many interesting programs. Talks weregiven on the various aspects of teaching, means of procuring the right educa- tion and teaching experience, and other subjects of value to future teachers.
