G. A. A. Sponsors Powder Puff Football The Girls Athletic Association operated under a new constitution during 1967-68. Instead of involv- ing only members in activities, any interested girl was invited to attend. The girls participated in track and field, basketball, volleyball and softball. Harrison sponsored several sports days, which included girls from Farmington, New Mexico. The G.A.A.'s also sponsored a Powder Puff football game during Homecoming week and a faculty ver- sus G.A.A. volleyball game. The G.A.A. team, coached by Phil Gibson, beat the non-G.A.A. team. 18-O during the Powder Puff football game. SEATED. Sue Lutz. President: Joan Trevar- then. Secretary: Robin Zeornes. Sports- Head. Latin Students IVlourn The Death of Caesar Learning more of ancient Roman traditions and life was the aim of members of Harrison's Latin Club and classes. Members planned and participated in programs mourning the death of Julius Caesar. Each class planned their own program for the ldes of March . Activities included funeral processions, skits, and Roman feasting. RIGHT. Rita Wessels. Dave Vogler, Barbara McClendon, Barbara Skupa. Lettermen Build School Morale Harrison athletes worked together to perfect and main- tain the high standards of good sportsmanship through the Letterman's Club. Faculty advisors, Mr. Pete Rodriguez, Mr. Gene Moses, and Mr. Norman Sullivan worked with officers Mike Childers, President, Kerry Larson, Vice-president, Clark Sheldon, Secretary, and Darrell Murphy, treasurer: to organize the athletes in order to help raise school spirit. During wres- tling matches and basketball games, they added origina cheers to the traditional ones used by the cheerleaders. Afte school and during athletic events the lettermen sold conces- sions.
