This will be the first year for the Science Club in this school. The purpose ofthis club is to stimulate and promote interest and knowledge in the fields of science. Being its first year the club must draw up a charter and philosphy. The activities will include a science fair toward the end of school where the various projects of the members will be displayed and explained. One of the future goals will be working toward the annual Science Talent Search which include National Scholarships. President-Edna June Harmony Vice President-Lou L. Koong Treasurer - Barbara New- somg Secretary-Francis Sanders, Reporter-Sue Wilsong Sponsor -Mrs. Sitcler. These students all have four characteristics in commong Character, Scholarship, Leadership and Service. One must have B Average before heis eligible for this organ- ization. This is the fourth year for the Harrisburg Chapter to be in operation. A spaghetti supper was the main social event of the first semester. It was to honor all sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are eligible to belong to this organization.

KHJZCJ The Harrisburg High School Band has made amazing progress since its beginning four years ago. The students coming back with Blue Ribbons and special recognition is a clear indication of this progress. They attended district meets and the an- nual State Band Clinic in Hot Springs. The Band appreciates the fine support of our local citizens as is always mani- fested at the Band Dinners. Conductor LARRY WALLACE MAJORETTES' Lou L. Koon has been the Drum Major this year. Both she and others have received state honors. Other majorettes are Sue Wilson, Frances Sanders, Donna Pickett and Carole Thompson
