The class of 1957 can be proud of their three years at Whitney. They have learned the ways of co-operation, leadership, good attitudes in classes and the activities in which they have participated. In sophomore and junior years these girls were unsure of their vocations. As the two years passed they began to develop into competent, dependable workers. They held shop meetings and planned programs. They took part in assemblies at Macomber and the activities sponsored by the different classes. They were also busy preparing for the annual Christmas parties and campaigning for new officers. As seniors the girls were occupied with their jobs, home- work, and committee meetings. Each shop made plans for an employers' luncheon and senior forum. They enioyed many laughs and good experiences attending conventions. The girls eagerly planned the major activities for this last year. There were the mid-term dance, senior trip, prom, banquet, and commencement. All this left them with a feeling of satisfaction for jobs well done. At the graduation exercises some laughed, a few cried, but each knew and appreciated the co-operation of faculty and students in making her senior year one of accomplish- ment. After a hard, but funfilled year they really are First Ladies. ES W
