Thanksgiving Turkey is her favorite dish with plenty of gravy with all the other trimmings. Among the subjects she enjoyed while at Harper were Mathematics and English. She was Editor of Shield in her last year beside being Vice President of the N. H. S. and -1 B Secretary. Most' I,lKti1,y To St'ect-'t-in-Grpoiuzia 'l't'RNnt't.t. His ambition is to spend his time study- ing engineering at the lllinois Institute of 'l'echnology. However, as is the case of IIIOSI fellows after graduation, Uncle Sam comes first. George has chosen the Navy as his branch of service. George. at quiet, and hard working lad. was a captain in the R.O.'l'.C. He was awarded a Second Lieutenant rat- ing in the National Guard upon graduation. lltisr IEANCI-QR-Bl-'Yl-iRI.Y lftstzlftt-in Surely no one could mistake calling Bev. Fischer the best dancer of this class. Beverly has been dancing since she was a wee little tot and now has been rewarded by becom- ing a member of the Nlerriel Abbott danc- at the Empire room of the Palmer House. XVith that mop of red hair, those gorgeous blue eyes, and that flawless complexion, how could anyone resist electing Bill Cadigan as the best looking in the january, 1945 class. Bill, or XVilly, as he is often called by his friends, left in the early part of january, to join the Navy. just a week before. his best friend, Bub Baker, joined and they both received their boot at Great Lakes. BrsT .-XTHULTE-EnwARu D.-Xbf.-XL Ed is not pictured in this group, because at the time this picture was taken he was suffering from a leg injury received in the Bowen-Harper football game. Ed was forced to stay out of school for almost a whole semester due to this injury. XVe are truly grateful Ed!

YVhile at Har- per Eddy was President of the 4A class, and l.atin club, a member ol' the prom committee, and also served on yarious rom- mitlees during his four years as a high school student. His great ambition is to be .7 a U. S. Senator, and just as a side line be'd like to be a Metalurgist. This pert little miss. plans to go to Chicago 'l'eaehers College in September. She was quite active at Harper: liditor ol' Page three of the Highway. A1.X Secretary. Prom Bid Salesman. NlARTlCNS Can truly be called one of the Best Citi- zens in the january '-15 class at Harper far oleole was never absent in her four years ol' high school. She was both Secretary and President of the C..-X..-X. and City Clerk of Har' per. lVhen asked about her best friend she coyly replied Charles. Her plans for the fu' IUTC are indefinite. She was also, the yaledictorian of her class. Mosr FR1i:Nm.v-Noksm BYRNIQ Editor of the Harper Highway, Secretary of the Legion of Honor, 4B Treasurer, a ciyic letter in her 313 semester-are only a few of the activities which occupied Norma Byrne's time at Harper. lust set a plate of French fries in front of me, says Norma and watch me dig in! After Harper, it's college for Norm. M osT 'I'AL12NTigD-.sXRcHitg I.1nnm.L Give him a piano. an accordion, the drums, or a trombone and see him go to it. That's Scotty Liddell, chosen most talented. In the line of food Scotty will take mashed po- tatoes and a nice thick steak any day. After high school, it's the Navy for Arch.
