YATES, Principal HILE the world today is thrown into a turmoil consequent upon war: while men and nations are changing to fit the needs per- tinent to these conditions, the Harper High School continues upon its peaceful course of developing sound minds, strong bodies, and those standards of morality which make for a citizenship having the highest type of pa- triotism. Harper High School ever remains the same, yet is ever changing. It preserves its fine old customs and traditions: on the other hand, it constantly changes by progressing with the most modern and effective methods of educa- tion. Our school of which we are justly proud holds aloft the Torch of Learning fed by basic principles of sound morality and patriotism. 7359 l8l
