Deaver, who was a pal and f'King Arthur to every Harperite, called together all the boys of the two upper classes, and had them elect eight boys who Were to serve under the guidance of Mr. Zach Chandler as the first student government body of Harper High School, the Boys' Senior Council. Their duty was to serve as an intermediary between students and teachers and guide Harper safely towards her destination. These eight boys met whenever neces- sary, often daily, to discuss and thrash over those hundred problems.
