Broadly speaking, Hong Kong is about 400 square miles of eye-pop- ping, mind-boggling, sense-tingling spectactic contrast, fascination and sheer magical wonderland. Tradi- tionally, a mecca for travellers and traders, it's the hub of the orient, and the Showplace of the Pacific. From the craggy heights of bustling Hong Kong Island and mainland Kowloon to the fairyland counterpane fields of the New Territories, there is no- where else in the world quite like Hong Kong. Hong Kong was the last major stop before our return to Pearl Harbor. Wives flew over to meet their hus- bands for a vacation of pure delight. Being there in December started to put one and all in the Christmas Spirit for our return to home on the 24th.
