While in Thailand several members of the crew gave some of their free time to help distribute the goods which included such items as books, medical supplies and diapers. Seeing firsthand these homeless children of various origins and hearing a little about them brought happiness to each one of us who had come. Not only did we enjoy the children, we also were given a meal similar to the diets of the kids and a tour of the compound. Some of the group even helped in the construction of a new building which will house more children. The boat we loaded with goods had a hefty port list on the ride to shore from the ship, which was moored out, and all eyes were fixed on the beach hoping that we would make it in one easy piece. . i , 8 f V 1-and l il Y
