S BIO BAY REP BLIO OF THE PHILLIPI E The Holt made two visits to Subic Bay, one of the U.S. Navy's major fleet repair bases overseas, in July and again in November as her final port of call before returning home. Subic Bay is noted for its fine rattan furniture and its wood carvings, which filled the helo hanger to the ceiling on the return trip to Pearl Harbor. The Subic Bay Naval Base offers many recreational activities, includ- ing golf, skeet shooting, archery rangs, go-cart track, swimming, and many excellent clubs. The Japan visit was highlighted by many excellent tours arranged by ENS Fogarty, the Special Services Officer.
