KEELU G, IWA KEELUNG was our second port call. It is located north of the Capital City of Taiwan, Taipei, and is nestled into a snug harbor, surrounded by scenic moun- tains. Taiwan offered the HAROLD E. HOLT crew a chance to purchase quality items for low prices, and an opportunity to talk and socialize with the local citizens. The people were friendly and anxious to please their American visitors. TAIWAN is a progressive, happy country which strives to stay in the running with the rest of the free world. The city of Taipei is very modern and clean. One of the most fascinating buildings in the world is the Grand Hotel which rises high above the city, exploiting the sunlight with its gilded appearance. The crew had a very enjoyable stay in Taiwan, the Land of Contentness and Prosper. gg A ,LA-4 I l I 1 2 I
