That phrase sums up the Western Pacific deployment of 1975 for USS Harold E. Holt. Those of you who were fortunate to be a part of the MAYAGUEZ rescue, yours is an experience that the rest of us can only envy and take pride in the fact that we had the opportunity to become shipmates. As the years pass and each of us reflects back on the l975 cruise, the following pages will help us recall the extended steaming hours, the hard work but mostly the good times and the friends and shipmates with whom we shared the laughs and fun.
