Michelle Vagts, P.i McKernan, Shannon Prinsen, Heather Kiehne, Barb Grebin, Coach Ihns C A P T A I N S The 1966 Volleyball team had an excellent season. The squad consisted of 8 seniors and 4 juniors. The girls showed a lot of ability of playing as a team and sticking with each other through thick and thin. Our new coach, Mr. Ihns, also showed outstanding leadership in his first year of coaching girls volleyball. The team was seated fourth in the district tournament, but was beaten by the number 1 rival team, Preston-Fountain. The teams final record was 9-6. Hopefully in the future years there will be more fan support for the upcoming girls. Cheerleaders: Kris Johnson, Sarah Overby. Amy Elston. The 1986 football team had a very tough season. The final record was 0-8, but the team shouldn't be judged on their record. They played a lot of tough teams. When they played Leroy-Ostrander ranked fifth in state, Harmony shut out the over rated team in the first half. They ended up losing the game, but showed great determination. This determination and the experience that the younger player's received will show in the future years. This year's team was a very young team with only 7 sophomores and 19 freshmen. Much improvement was made throughout the season and many of the younger players were able to gain valuable experience.
