She got along well with the kids from the start. A couple of her favorite new foods were watermelon and marshmallows. She was able to travel to 11 different states during her stay. It has been a joy having her in our Senior Class, and we will all miss her very much. We love you, Eva! mamm 25 now Class officers MiheSchimming-Pres. Cyndie Saxe-UlrePres. Sandy Applen-Sec. The 1974-75 Chapter of Future Homemakers of America, was divided into-two sections, a Junior and a Senior F.H.A. The Junior F.H.A. was under the leadership of Mrs. Halverson and the Senior F.H.A. was under the leadership of Miss Struckman. With the enthusiasm of these two, leaders, such activities as a hayride with F.F.A., various speakers, a film, and a Christmas Party were really enjoyed by those who participated. Money raising activities included an egg drive, and serving at home games. With the close of the 1974-75 F.H.A. a Mother Daughter Tea and Installation of new officers took place. Mrs. Paddy Florence Miss Willie Mrs. Savage Lilly Belle Fairy May Jeff Titus Doc Emmett .... Hannibal Samuel Director Student Director . . . . The Curious Savage ' a comedy in Three acts by John Patrick, was this year's junior class play. Performances were on November 8 and 9. The play centered around an eccentric middle-aged woman committed to an institution by her three stepchildren who were greedy to get their hands on their stepmother's money. In the institution Mrs. Savage met various social misfits who came to respect her not for her wealth, but for what she was: a sincere and understanding human being. Through their new friends' help, each guest in the institution was finally able to realize a hopeless dream for something he had never before been able to accomplish. The Curious Savage 46 I 48 Prom began with the traditional banquet and speeches. The waiters and waitresses did a beautiful job of serving both the banquet and the dance that followed. The theme of the dance was Seasons in the Sun . The decorations transformed the gym into a paradise for lovers, and the music of Jessie Brady added to the atmosphere. 50 Robbie Johnson . . . Director “OREEN £00$ AND HAM” Green Eggs and Ham required much experimentation in movement, and painstaking effort in coordinating instrumentation and action. It would be difficult to imagine the moments of uncertainty they all experienced during the making of this production. However, due to the patience and cooperation of each member, they arrived at a final production that was entertaining and good. After participating in subdistrict, district, and regional contests, they were headed for state with nine out of nine A's. Also at regionals, Gary Johnson was chosen best actor. When they reached the state contest held at Minneapolis, they performed for an audience of 500, along with seven other region representatives and received an A. This is the highest rating a group could receive. 51 Principle's Office: Bruce Cremer, Wayne Scrabeck, Brent Richardson, Jackie Barrett, Don Schroeder, Kari Swenson, Cyndie Saxe, Barb Prinsen. OUR GOAL A WINNING SCHOOL I— C The 74-75 Student Council started out this fall working for a goal, and feel we have completed it successfully. The goal was to express the desires of the student body and make those changes needed. We began with Homecoming Prizes, our float and fan of the week. Then the Christmas dance we sponsored featuring Kicks was enjoyed by all who attended. Problems have been challenged and conquered. If you look around, the work of the Student Council, we need not say more. 56 59 This year the Pom-pon girls began their performing in the summer, marching with the band. Most of the girls really enjoyed the trip to Detroit Lakes. The girls performed for one football game and were part of the Homecoming half time activities. They also performed at several basketball games. FLAG GIRLS Being a new addition to the Marching Band, we weren't too sure of ourselves at the beginning of the summer, but after a few practices we had made up routines to the two songs that the band marched to. We marched at many parades during the summer, accompanying the band to De-triot Lakes which was very enjoyable and new experience for all. 60 Bottom row: Cyndie Saxe, Val Reburn, Barb Prinsen. They attended two different camps and brought back many new cheers and ideas for skits. Coming back to school practice started under the advice of Mrs. Halverson. The cheerleaders are changing with the teams to the deeper cardinal color. They had many fund raising projects to get money to buy all new outfits and pom-pons. 61 Top: Cyndie Saxe, Jo Schrock, Mary Whalen, Left to right: Zo Hermanson, Barb Prinsen, Sandy Applen, Kari Swenson, Val Reburn.
