The junior class worked many long, hard hours and weeks to make our class play Love Rides the Rails” a huge success, with many incidents our class will never forget. A little background on the play is that it’s a melodrama comedy, involving the Harmony, Canton, Mabel Railroad. It schemes for the wicked villains to get the railroad and the girl (Prudence), but little do the innocent heroes know what stands in store for them—namely Carlotta Cortez, Simon Darkway and Dirk Sneath. Leave to the heroes Truman Pendennis and Prudence to save the Harmony, Canton, Mabel Railroad and bring everything back to order. After our last performance most of the cast traveled to Decorah where we ate a tasty meal and left our mark before we journied home again.
