Many of the boys were on the B” squads of football and basketball. Greg Hulcher represented us on the A” football squad. Several boys were also in wrestling, baseball, and track. Several of the girls participated in activities such as Junior F.H.A., and the Cardinal Staff. We were represented in the Student Council by Rita Bigalk and Sybil Thompson. Karen Lind was a junior cheerleader. Later in the year we sponsored our first all-school party, the Senior Farewell. We can all agree that this has been a year full of excitement and fun, and we are looking forward to our approaching Sophomore year at H.H.S.! 22

Our sophomore class is one of the smaller classes at H.H.S., but this does not hinder our being very active in school activities. We proved this by sponsoring a very successful homecoming in I960. Eleven of our members are in senior band, and fifteen in chorus. Mary Miller is a senior cheerleader and Bill Wickctt, Gary Nagel, and Chuck Berning represent us well in varsity sports. Many others also participate on B” squads. We are active in F.H.A. and F.F.A. The newly organized G.R.A. is happy to be represented so well by the sophomore girls. The year has ended, but we are anticipating that our junior year will be filled with even more pleasant memories. Left to right, SEATED: Jerry Vagts, president; Mary Lackey, vice-president. STANDING: Carolyn Evenson, treasurer; Carol Greenslade, secretary. 21
