Your skies were bright with promise, and now you take a bow, For you stayed on the road that led you to where you're standing now. You gaze at what your life has been, and joy will H11 your heart Because you know you've labored wellg your school- ing was your start. As you passed examinations, many a task was pressed lnto your loaded schedule, often you sighed for rest When your studies seemed unending and no comfort- ing refrain Came through the days of sorrow when your skies were dark with rain. Twelve years it is-the shadows fall on well remem- bered ways, We only hope you'll ne'er' forget the joys of high school days. The ball games that we won and lost, the parties that we've had- We hope the very thought of them ' always make you glad. Twelve years it is--the s are w smiling and serene As you start out on he ife, your future yet unsee . Some of them are in junior and senior band, a few took part in the declam contest and many of the boys went out for HC and HB teams in bas- ketball. Last fall everyone worked hard on their Homecoming float, Rock the Bluejaysn and became the proud winners of second prize. Sharon Malli, Betsey Haugerud. and Bonnie Brokken were iunior eheerlearlers. while many of the boys were members of the football and basketball squads. Gerald lfvenson was also on the Varsity team in basketball dur- ing the tournaments. Many of us belonged to band, chorus, clee club. and other musieal groups. We sponsored a farewell party for the seniors and gave an assembly for the junior high. Naney MeKay was our mem- ber on the paper and annual stall. Everything we did was very sueeessful ' and we're gong to try to make our sophomore year even better. CLASS OFFICERS-Left to right: B. Brokken, vice president: S. Malli, seeretary: P. Vold This has really been a busy year for the members of the junior class. We started ofl' the year by doing everything we possibly eoulcl to raise money for our junior prom. Last fall we all enjoyed putting on our junior vluss play, which was very sueeessful. We also ordered our class rings in the fall. Of eourse we think they are just the greatest and the best Har- mony High has ever seen. We put on our prom May 10, which was the biggest event of the sehool year for both juniors and seniors. This was an occasion that we will never forget. We all are thrilled that our prom was so sum-essful. This year we have lost a few 1-lassmates, but we also gained four new ones. They are, Sharon Vold. Cale Rurkholder, Cary Every and Larry Houdek. We will always' remember our junior year as a wonderful year - filled with many memories. eff N' QS? SPORTS IN REVIEW The Harmony Eleven turned in a well-played and a hard-fought season of football, but settled for a fifth place tie with Wykoff. The Cards Homecoming was spoiled by the Preston Blue Jays as they took a 40-21 victory. The season ended with the Cards winning four and losing three. Harold Christensen and Robert Love received Dis- trict One All-Conference honors, and Jim Berning received honorable mention. John Clesne is football coach. The basketball season got underway December 6, with Caledonia coming out on top of the Cards 61-53. Harmony took part in a holiday tournament at Mabel during Christmas vacation, in which they lost the Hrst game to Preston 4-4-42 and won over Canton 38-46, in the second game to take the consolation trophy. The Cards ended the season with 7 wins and 11 losses. The Cards were defeated by Lanesboro in their first District One tournament game. Karl Ahrens is basketball coach. There were only a few lettermen returning for the '58 baseball team. There were a large number of new team members, however. With such veterans as R. McKay. R. Pederson, E. Bigalk, and J. Berning returning, the sea- son's outlook appears quite good. John Clesne is baseball coach. For the second year, the Cardinals sponsored a track team. This year's track team had many good pros- pects with a large number of boys coming out. Karl Ahrens is track coach. Aff' 'Ni G.. ti O 57 al4,,!C7 x ' gn gm , ,gf ,.
