We have worked hard on our annual this year because we wish to publish the best memory book possible for the students of Harmony High School. Although few of us have had the direct pleasure of putting it out, all of you will join in the pleasure of having one. Ellickson's Studio in La Crosse has photo- graphed the individual pictures and the large groupsg while Mr. Randall, with the assist- ance of several students, captured many of the informal shots you see in this book. It is the sincere wish of the 1956 CARD- . INAL Staff that you cherish and enjoy this book for many years to come. CARDINAL STAFF-Row 1, left to right: J. Young. P. Kunkat, L. Manning, W. Brokken, L. Editor Nacia Johnson with the advice and assistance of the advisor, Mr. Eiffler, chose the staff at the beginning of the school year and supervised the production of the CAR- DEON. The job was a difficult oneg how- ever, the staff did an excellent job of provid- ing one of the best papers in years. Aipproximately half of the staff was com- pose of reporters whose job was to see that the unusual daily happenings or the numer- ous other bits of news were written. The rest of the staff included stencilists, mimeograph- ers, artists, typists, and proofreaders. The 1955-56 CARDEON ably served as an excel- lent medium of knowledge, discussion, evalu- ation and publicity. When he gets back home, he finds that his girl wants to make up, his Aunt wants him to stay in his room, and his boss has rehired him.
