Hardingis industrial arts departmentprovides boys fand girlsj with an excellent opportunity to gain an in-depth experience in drafting, elec- tricity, metal shop, and wood shop. Drafting classes teach such skills as reading blueprints, drawing house plans, and making floor plans. Electricity class teaches basic facts and funda- mental principles of electricity. Students learn uses and a respect for electricity. Metal shop teaches metal working, the use of various machines, welding and construction. In wood shop, students learn the basics of working with wood. All students produce pro- jects under the watchful eye of instructors. People for Life Mr. P. 44011109 Mr. Heyerdahl explains a passage in the music. The music department combines vocal and in- strumental music. Mr. R. Hartman directs the bands. The class- es are divided up into A and B sections. The concert band performs at assemblies and at other occasions throughout the year. The pep band supports Hardingis athletic teams at the games. Northwestern State Bank provided warm nylon jackets for all members ofthe marching band this year. The choirs are under the direction of Mr. P. Heyerdahl. The choirs consist of sophomore choir, solo cho r, concert choir, A choir, and girls' glee choir. The choir presented the mus- ical The King and ln.
