At the beginning of the season, the Presidents lacked experience, having only five seniors on the team. However, the under- classmen soon became confident of their play and the team won 12 of their last 18 ballgames. The team de- feated Mansfield Senior twice and Fremong once to clinch second place in their division of the Buckeye Conference. However, no Buckeye Conference playoff was held, so the team ended up in a third place tie with Sandusky. Their were several reasons why no playoff was held, the weather and graduation at other schools were two reasons. The biggest reason however, was a lack of action by the league commissioner to set a date for the schools participating. The playoff was put off until it was too late, so the top two teams from each divison finished in a tie for first and third place. At the Spring Sports Banquet, Steve Emmons was recognized for hitting a grand-slam home run and Dave Freese and Jeff Guider were recognized for pitching no-hitters. 5-F ,Aj lik y p-s fs .- -ii s ': 2, v Nj 72 ...url-...an R fl-4. A yearbook is a book that will be looked at for many years to come. lt is a memory book, a record of the school year, a refer- ence book, a public relations medium, and an educational experience. We have sin- cerely tried to make this yearbook the best one ever published here. The Quiver staff has put in many long hours to in- corporate the yearbook styling we have chosen for the 1976 format. The many long hours have been spent contemplat- ing, decision making, building and rebuild- ing the journal of the 1975-1976 school- year. I feel this year that the Quiver gives an overall view of the activities at Harding. I would like to thank the staff members, Mr. John Rall and the staff at Hughes Studio, Mr. Willard Kocsovsky, Frank Breit- haupt, and a special thanks to Mrs. Vic- toria Piacentino, our yearbook advisor, for her dedication and sincerity.
