Music Departments ffer Top, Choice Activities to Students The music department offered the fine programs it has offered in the past. Many different groups combine to make up the department complex. These groups include the Symphonic Band, specializing in symphonic band music, the Activities Band, providing music for the home basketball games and various other events, The March- ing Band, gives our half-time enter- tainment for the home football games and many of the away games, the Symphonette, plays parlorette symphony music, the Orchestra, com- bines with the choirs to present con- certs throughout the year. Vocal talents are also aptly repre- sented in the three vocal groups in the department. Concert Choir, of the more experienced, gives several con- certs as the orchestra, sings in the Buckeye Conference Choir Festival, and presents programs to local civic x, XBOX F Marching bandsmen models new 1971-72 uniforms. RIGHT' Activities Band per- forms for excited crowds at basketball games. groups. Mixed Chorus also takes part in school concerts and in the Panora- ma. Finally, Sweet Sixteen is the pop- ular group that specializes in pop and hit songs. In each of these areas there are those who excel to a superior degree. They are given a chance to compete at state level for awards in their perspec- tive fields. This year many Hardin- gites did so and won many honors. These include Carol Hall, Connie McKnight, Marla Steinman, Sara Imbody, Dale Cyure, Stephanie Weis- er, Pam Miller, Dave Gruber, Frank Helms, and Mike Edwards. All of the groups and individuals climaxed their year with performance in the Panorama Of Musicu, Hard- ingis grand finale of music.
