The publicity committee drew posters and ran daily announcements, while the make-up committee dressed the actors for their perspective roles. Ev- ery sound effect and lighting scheme had to be properly carried through and that job was handled by the stage crew. The ticket committee was given the job of printing the tickets and sub- sequently selling them for the near sell-outs both nights of the musical. Each prop on the stage and used in the production had to be in the proper place at the proper time, which was aptly carried through by the proper- ties committee. Finally, the assistants to the director helped keep all of these functions together. Stage crew was in charge of curtain calling, lights and sound effects. Sounds of jazz Come Alive in Talented Horns of Stardusters Once again the Stardusters' horns, drums, and assorted musical talents gave many enjoyable listening hours to enthusiastic audiences. Playing the sounds of the big-band era and up- beatingu their performance with re- cent numbers, the band gave shows for several city schools and other crowds. Director of the Stardusters was again Ed Miller. This year Keith Swihart assisted Mr. Miller on the band's productions. Combined with the main numbers of the group were the several individual acts by musical- ly talented Harding students. Cary Boggs, Ted Wilson, Harry Biffle, and Mike McGraw teamed up to form a 5 r F - r sl IW 4 9: . l 1 ' iff, V, M i .,i.! ' il sg 1 ii i : O n ,A f ix, I barbershop quartet complete with kazoos. Tap dancing also became part of the program as Senior Cindi Moore displayed her talents for the audi- ences. Another group with increasing popularity in the Harding community, the Bob Floyd Trio, presented several numbers. The trio consists of Bob Floyd, on piano, Bob Briehoupt, on percussion, and Bruce Burton on gui- tar. All members were sophomores. With the Senior members of the group being lost to graduation, many of the apprenticed underclassmen will be- come the meat of the group and prom- ise to give more excellent perform- ances to the school. iF.,5,,,I.
