C5-. 1 v Musical Crews Help Make Show Enjoyable Experience to ll The crews for CarnivalH found it their responsibility to assure the cast and directors of the musical that all would run smoothly on opening night. The publicity committee drew posters and ran daily announcements, while the make-up committee dressed the actors for their perspective roles. Ev- ery sound effect and lighting scheme had to be properly carried through and that job was handled by the stage crew. The ticket committee was given the job of printing the tickets and sub- sequently selling them for the near sell-outs both nights of the musical. Each prop on the stage and used in the production had to be in the proper place at the proper time, which was aptly carried through by the proper- ties committee. Finally, the assistants to the director helped keep all of these functions together. Stage crew was in charge of curtain calling, lights and sound effects.
