Page 20 SOPHOMORE HISTORY HEN the sophomores entered Harding, they felt restrained. They arrived from Vernon and Central, where they had been the freshmen and had ruled supreme. Here they are just sophomores. The officers at Central were: Jack Zeisler, president, Robert Pick, vice-presi- dent, james Todd, secretaryg and Rollin Beach, treasurer. At Vernon they were: Roy Abel, president, and Glen Gifford, treasurer. Extra curricular activities at both schools included Girl Reserves, Torch Clubs, and Dramatic Clubs. Miss Zelma Howard sponsored the dramatic club at Central which presented several plays during the year. She also produced the freshman plays, The Princess and The Initiation. l Miss Ackley directed the Vernon freshman plays, Orchids for Marie, Six Cups of Chocolate, and Honeymoon House. The Dramatic Club was spon- sored by Miss Wetterauer and Miss Ault. And now, at Harding, they have merged. They have become one class. For their leaders this year, they chose Jack Zeisler for president, Weldon Metz for vice-president, Dorothy Bechtle for secretary, and Dana Kirts for treasurer.
