As director of their expan- sion program, he installed the Arkansas Kappa chapter at Arkansas Tech on October 5 and October 6-7 he met with the newly-organized Region IV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. ANNOUNCING home football games, Billy Ray Cox shows his support for the Bison team. RECEIVING a Chamber of Commerce award from President Lott Tucker is Truman Baker. VICE-PRESIDENTS Jlme promotions give Harding two Vice-presidents BILLY RAY COX, in June, 1970, was named one of Harding's two new Vice- presidents. In addition to his administra- tive and teaching duties, he served as director of American Studies and advisor for both the executive business team and the SA's Constitutional Committee. Also in J une he traveled to Japan as a special advisor to the board of Ibaraki Christian College. During the school year he pre- sented seminars for private businesses from Arkansas to California. LOTT R. TUCKER, JR. was promoted to Vice-president of Finance. Major pro- jects during the school year included con- struction of a new mcn's dormitory and expansion of present library facilities. Mr. Tucker also served as president of the Searcy Chamber of Commerce. ASSISTANT DEAN Dr. Carr added to Harding's faculty as Assistant Dean DR. JAMES F. CARR, prior to his be- coming Assistant Dean, was Assistant Chancellor of the Florida State Univer- sity System. Dr. Carr quickly became in- volved in campus and community activi- ties. He sponsored the senior class and Galaxy social club and joined the Cham- ber of Commerce. Currently serving on the executive Board of Swannee River Area Council of Boy Scouts of America, he is past-president of the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. .Qi AILING Senior president Joe McReynolcls is cheered by a friendly visit from Dr. Carr. DEAN OF STUDENTS Dean of tudents relieved of extra duties undertaken VIRGIL H. LAWYER, with the hiring of a Dean of Women and the returning of Harding's cross-country coach, was re- lieved of extra duties he had undertaken. During October Dean Lawyer attended professional meetings at Arkansas AMSLN College and Oklahoma Christian.
