The team's final guarter was played by seniors. Our top players were Pete Graham, captaing Jack Meyer. co-captain: with Sharon Terpening keeping track of our progress, meetings, and class activities: and Donna Miller as treasurer. Our fine coaches were Mr. Huonavaara and Miss Corey. Many members helped, while some sat on the bench and watched the others. In the tall we picked the colcr of our gzwns for the kick oft . The girls chose white robes with gray tassels. The boys chose charcoal gray robes with white tassels. Our team made progress at the homecoming concessions and dance. We had fun working on our class float, Victory is Brewing '. We dodged around selling stationary, Christmas cards, mums. and pcm poms. We had a doughtnut sale the first Saturday of each month. February 22 we had a pie sale. We had time cut from hard playing to study the playbook, NO BOYS AL- LOWED. We went back into the game with the basketball concessions and senior carni- val. We were very excited planning for our biggest event of years, our trip to New York. At last we made the tinal step. touchdown toward the future : and our kick- off. graduation. June 3. 1958. 124-

Melissa Dugan lBonnie Blissl, the girl Homer has been writing to, surprises everyone by coming up into the hills to marry him. Her friends, Isabell IDoris Smithl and Hortense Todd fCaro1 Brown! were lost in a storm on their way there and Melissa accidentally stumbled onto the Hollowhone house, looking for help. Grandpappy goes out to find the two Todd sisters and when they return, Homer has a hard time trying to keep Melissa from finding out who he really is. She does, however, and the plays ends with Homer going back to the city with Melissa to get an education. -23-..
