Junior Class Qfficers ll. to r.l D. Miller. treasurer: B. Juilleret, vice-president: P. Graham, president: M. Tippett. student council representative: S. Terpening, secretary. Juniors: Jivin' Ones The crazy class of '58 really went ape during the school year of 1956 - 57. We started the year by selling eats at the first football game. When the homecoming game rolled 'round we gave with the most and came up with a second prize for our float. Our Sadie Hawkins Dance on October 27 was the sneakiest ever. and it gave us a chance to add to our green in the treasury. But. man, don't you think fOr a minute we were loafing between all these big events! We gave with bread. candy and bake sales which also added to our financial standing. Then came the day we went to Petoskey to learn more about becoming B.M.0.C.'s. That was College Day, and it was the most. By this time we were all showing off our sharp class rings which we had received at the beginning of the prison term. We had a cider' sale that really gassed most of the residents of our fair city but we had fun doing it. and again added to our money tree. We struggled through the brain derbies and found ourselves in the second semester. Again we traveled to Petoskey, this time for Career Day. About this time of year we were slippin' and slidin' through our school work. And why? Man. we were working on our real gone junior play. which kept us pretty busy. Wd gave with the play on the 28th, 29th and 30th of March. Close on the heels of our play was the Junior-Senior Banquet, which was held in the Perry Hotel on April 6. Then for about a month we were real gone on the J-Hofp, held in the grym on May ll. By the end of the school year, our class was really droolin' with schoolin'. 'cause our kats and kittens were real gone on science and math. This was proven by the size of our physics and algebra II classes, the biggest yet! Dig you later. 'gator. ' -19-

There must have been Ninety-Ninfe Ways that we added the green to our money tree. Among them were: Do-nut sales, eats at football and basketball games, a scratch pad sale, and a bracelet sale. ,Iarnuary I9, we presented our Senior Caper and those oats, Deanna Bradley and Eddie Mathews reigned as King and Queen. December 6 and 8, we gave with our Senior Play Mountain Gal . When February 2 rolled 'round all the cats were All Shook Up at our rock 'n' rdll talent show featuring Miss Elvis Presley .
