After receiving a 10.8 recurd. and tttkmg third place in u11N1iC.the scu- ntcri continued their seusmi into the seetionuls where they placed second. Then to further their season. the team went to district where they placed 8th Lind ended their competition Leading the linksters was Greg Del- Prinece who for the 4th straight year has proved to be one of the most out- stunding g01fcrs11ur1mrhus ever had. His average game was 30. He has been awarded with the best otihonors. Greg was chosen most valuable player for the past two years. Other members of the team helping to make the season successful are se- niors JeffSkuruppa. Nelson BcriedieL and JeffSunderszjuniors Murray Blake. Chris Puhiit and Dennis Dcluut; sophomoresr-Jet'ti Bertezi; and fresh- men -Gordi Deluut and Steve McElroy. The Mariners started their seasun by defeating Perry and Bula. They then lost to Riverside. They continued their season. by defeating Jefferson 11nd Madison be fore going down to St. ; . . . John. Edgewood and Conneaut. For . 7, ' , C ' ., .-,. the 2nd time. they defeated Bula but ' , v e , - i 7' z e. ' once again were outplayed by River- , 7 ,3 r ' 7 '1 r'e e! side and Madison. They finished their scusun by winning, the lust matches against St. John, Conneaut, and Jef- ferson and Edgewood thus ending Murray bends with his swing. 3rd to St. John and Riverside in the NFC.
