finished at lust, we could look at our completed effort, and the beauty of it made up for the aching muscles and backs --;i little, anyway. At last came our senior year and the odd but exciting feeling that now we were at the top. We finally were those seniors who had seemed so far away from us in the seventh grade. Our minds are filled with many memories: Of the many fine teachers who have helped us on our way; Of some of our Classmates who were not allowed to graduate with us; Of aill the scrambling and tearing of hair that went on m the journalism room to get the yearbook out on time: Of Miss Boyce's oi'tvrepeated saying: That's not my comma. That's your comma until you tell me WHY you put it there , 0f seniors walking around the halls muttering a strange list that sounded something like, Knight, squire, yeoman, two nuns, three priests. . . and so on endlessly. We would also like to thank all the people connected with the school for putting up with us for six years. THE CLASS OF 1967 The Class of 1967 will be the last class to graduate from Harbor High that attended school here since the seventh grade, Although we weren't completely a part of the senior high activities, it was exciting just being around upperclassmen, and we gained early the experience of seeing what high school life was like. In our freshman year we officially became part of high school life. As activities, our class held bake sales and sold toothbrushes and Mariner stickers. By the end of the year we were seasoned veterans, but we had no idea of the hard work that was in store for us. Our sophomore year was one long scramble to earn money for our prom. We held the traditional sophomore bottle drive. For a month Fawcett Gym was a great glass menagerie of empty pop bottles, some of which broke the solitude of the lobby with an occasional crash. In the spring of the year we held our car wash. After hours of work in the hot sun, we finally polished our last car to a brilliant luster. We emerged grimy, butwith a deep feeling of satisfaction. The excitement mounted all through our junior year. The Prom Committee held regular meetings to make plans, while the rest of the Class wondered what the theme would be. Finally came the day when we were assigned to our committees and began working. In the beginning, spirits ran high, but as the week wore on, and we worked harder each day to finish in time, we grew more serious . We transported mountains of rocks from the gulf. Each rock in its own small way adorned the stream and added to the rustic beauty of the waterfall. Trees and bushes sprang from the sawdust gare den, while frail geishas peered from behind transparent lattice works. When it was
