SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY In September 1910 our little hand of Pilgrims started on :1 perilous journey. Many and varied have been our ex- periences and we wish to share with you a few of the memo- ries we have gittheretl along our path. llnw well we remember the day on which we set out. that day ut' teri'uii tn every Freshman! We, with scores. of others. were hurried about I'm the assignment of tasks and plates. Then with our burdens on our backs we sped on our way in earnest. and found ourselves journeying across a mmpamtix'ely smooth plain Suddenly our way was ob- structetl by 21 great rock culled Algelira. which appeared im- mnmlile, hut after much struggling and the use 01' all the mental pnweii we UiUltl summon. together with reams of paper, erasers and the answer hook, it was rolled out of our path, permitting us to hasten mi. lint. being young and lICCtllCSS. we did not look for the steps which led zicmss the treacherous spot we were approach- ing uml crmsequently found ourselves wallowing in the Slough of Demand, Latin. From mere Narration we passed almig the river nt' DCSCl'lDthIl, where various members of our hand took delight in describing each other; or into the lane ut' Expositimi. Then a storm :ulletl Argument broke upon us and as our path was hare ot' Shelter we were forced to receive the shower of arguments which fell from both sides 01' every questimi as the storm raged alinut us. After the false opiiiitms ul' nur cumpaniuiis had heen refuted and we had d'awn our own conclusions. the sky cleared; and we have passed on to peaceful reconciliation. 2L goal to which each worthy anhnmore zixpiresi We have cmmuered each ditiiculty. great or small. which temporarily clouded our Clear sky. As we look hack till the ,iuui'ney we have traveled thus far, we realize how resplendent have been the days and that the efforts put forth have not heen in vain. Some of our com- panitms hzu'e t'allen hy the wayside during Exams, but most have plodtled faithfully 011 in search of Knowledge and Sell- Equipment.
